Yes, boy are we excited about this new BLOG ! So I did some research and was thinking if this is actually fun to BLOG his growth. Well I am not exactly the kind of person that write what I did on a day to day basis, but thinking along, might be pretty cool to share our experience with other friends and parent all over the world.

First detailed check-up

Had my first detailed check-up at KKH this morning. The feeling is so much different from those check-ups I had in Beijing. KKH is more advanced and with more sophisticated machines. I feel so much at ease and know I am in good hands here. The ultrasound scans show a bigger baby now. Can make out the baby's head, body and limbs. I am getting excited.

A life threatening moment

Today is my 3rd day of holiday in Singapore. I went with ipapa to United Square in the morning for my favourite Ah Kun kaya toast. Soon after the breakfast, I became lethargic and I seemed to have changed into another person. We had to cancel all other activities in the morning so that I could go back home to rest.
Then, I noticed that I was spotting. I began to worry. Oh dear, is my baby ok? Am I going to suffer a miscarriage? The more I think, the more worried I am. ipapa then accompanied me to KKH A&E for a check.
Along the way, ipapa was asking me not to despair. He wanted me to think of the positive side. I wasn't sure though.
When it was my turn to be checked, my heart was beating very fast. I was really nervous. The doctor who examined me told me not to worry. She said that my condition was not a life threatening one. She even did an ultrasound scan to assure me.
When I saw the baby in the scan alive and kicking, I knew he/she has decided to accompany me through the pregnancy process.
I could rest and sleep well at last.

Seeing my baby the third time

The past weeks were very hectic for me. My colleague was on leave and I had to cover her duties. To make matters worse, I wasn't feeling that great in this first trimester. Now, at last, work is more settled and it is now my turn to go back home (Singapore) for my well-deserved break.
I am flying back to Singapore tomorrow for a holiday as well as to do an essential pregnancy test at KKH. This will be my first flying trip since I am pregnant. I am a bit apprehensive.
I went to see Dr Li just now to check on the condition of my baby. I just wanted to ensure that my baby is fit for travel tomorrow.
Dr Li gave me the all clear signal to travel and that was what I wanted to hear. I got to see my baby the third time and I bet he/she must be eager to see ipapa tomorrow.
