Childcare centre - here I come

1 July 2006 - what is so special day about this day? Well, it will be Iden's first day at the childcare centre. Having been taken care by his grandparents since he was about 4 months old, Iden will be going to a full-time childcare centre come tomorrow. Can he adapt? How is he going to cope? Will I be able to accept the fact? Many questions surfaced in my mind. I guess we should not worry much but cross the bridge as it comes. Meanwhile, I wish and hope for the best.....

Swimming fun

Splish, splash, FUN! Iden had such great fun at the pool just now! Now that he has grown taller, he can walk around the baby pool (at 0.5m) easily. Besides walking around the pool, Iden also likes to play at the slides. See how he enjoyed himself here:

Hi-5 Live Action Heroes

Following a successful movie outing yesterday, we brought Iden to the Hi-5 Live Action Heroes at the Singapore Expo this afternoon.

Somehow, the five Australians could not capture Iden's attention as much as the CARS. Only when they were singing that Iden paid attention to them. Other times, he would just want to walk around. I guess he is still young to understand what the performers are saying and hence, could not join in the dance. Nevertheless, it was a great exposure for Iden and two firsts (movie and live show) for him over a weekend!

Iden had the opportunity to watch it this afternoon at The Cathay. First movie for him and first movie for the IT family at The Cathay!

Initially, ipapa and I were rather hesitant to bring him for the movie. We were not sure if he could sit still for 2 hours in a cinema. After some deliberating, we decided to give our son a chance and bring him for the show. We did not regret our decision.

Iden enjoyed the movie so much! He sat still on ipapa's lap for 2 hours, simple starring at the screen. His eyes were darting here and there to catch the show and he laughed when the cars laughed. At a point, he was also munching on his sweet corn cereal to keep himself entertained! It was a great Saturday outing for Iden and his love for CARS has greatly increased, all thanks to the movie!
